- This course is designed to provide student with an understanding of (a) the overall processes of typical speech and language acquisition in children from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds; (b) linguistic theories pertaining to bilingual and bidialectal speech and language, (c) issues pertaining to assessment, intervention and service delivery for culturally and linguistically diverse populations, including children and adults.
