SOC 396LEC—Global Criminology

Crime has become a global phenomenon: drug and human trafficking, identity theft, computer hacking, and wildlife poaching demonstrate that crime is expanding its global reach alongside legitimate businesses. In this course we use sociological concepts and categories to better understand crime, people engaged in criminal behavior, victims, and law enforcement policies that are global in scope and implication.
