This is the second of a two-semester course for students interested in learning basic skills in music production, including recording, mixing, editing, sampling, sequencing, and arranging. Lectures will also address the history and development of popular music genres including hip hop, rock, and various styles of electronic dance music. Students will apply practical and theoretical skills to creating original works. Students interested in taking MUS302 who have not previously taken MUS 301 may be registered with permission of the instructor.
