MUS 301LEC—Sound Recording and Production 1

This is the first of a two-semester course for students interested in learning basic skills in music production, including recording, mixing, editing, sampling, sequencing, and arranging. Lectures will also address the history and development of popular music genres including hip hop, rock, and various styles of electronic dance music. Students will apply practical and theoretical skills to creating original works.
