IDS 440SEM—Methods and Theory in Indigenous Historical Research

This seminar begins with a view of history that uses the cultural framework of indigenous communities themselves to interpret the historical record. Students will then learn theories of historical knowledge, various historical methodologies, historiography, and research techniques focused on ethnohistorical methodology.
