Critically examines the histories, contributions, and challenges of North American Indigenous women. Takes an intersectional approach that attends to gender, indigeneity, and settler colonialism in understanding Indigenous women’s realities and concerns. Exposure to new methodologies that center Indigenous women’s experience in historical analysis and cultural critiques. This course is the same as GGS 206 and repeat rules may apply.
