Data structures is one of those classes that sucks while youre in it but you realize later how important it was. The homework assignments are long and the exams are tricky but the curve is generous. You NEED to understand linked lists and trees cold for the final. Esmaili is a solid lecturer.
Tip: Start the homework assignments early. Like Monday early. They will take longer than you think.
Standard bio class. The lectures are a lot of memorization and the lab section is kind of tedious. Exams have a mix of multiple choice and short answer. The textbook is actually helpful for this one. Not terrible but not exciting either.
Tip: Make flashcards. Seriously. There is SO much vocab.
Easiest class I took this semester. Show up, do the readings, and you get an A. The material is actually pretty interesting too. Good class to take when you have a heavy course load and need something chill.
The class content is fine but the way its taught is not great. Lectures are basically just reading off slides. The homeworks are graded super harshly and the TAs give inconsistent feedback. I learned Java but it felt like I had to teach myself most of it. Take it with a different professor if you can.
Tip: Use YouTube tutorials alongside the lectures. CodingBat is also great practice for the exams.
